THE POISON OF JEALOUSY (The Positive Aspect of Jealousy)

“Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.””
Genesis 37:9 NIV
Do not be worried when people are jealous of you. The envy and the jealousy of men against you, is a sure sign that God is taking you places. Joseph had innocent dreams, first that his sheaf of grain rose above others and later that the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing to him.
Joseph gave no direct interpretation to the dreams. His brothers and father immediately interpreted the dream as Joseph ruling over them. His brothers got jealous and negatively acted on it. If they hadn’t tried to kill him and eventually sold him into slavery, his story might have been a different one.
Sometimes, God uses your enemies to activate your blessings. Their jealousy and evil acts is only a process through which your blessings can come to pass. Continue to trust and have faith that God will see you through.
