THE FINGER OF GOD
"Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God..."
Exodus 8:19 NKJV
The first reference to the finger of God is found in Exodus. Moses had just unleashed the third plague on Egypt in an effort to force Pharaoh to free the Israelites who had been held captive for four hundred years. After Pharaoh’s magicians tried and failed to replicate the miracle, they said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God” (Exodus 8:19).
The finger of God is a reference to God’s unlimited power as He intervenes directly in the affairs of men. The working of the finger of God is unmistakable.
The Finger of God...
1. Rewrites judgement (Exodus 31:18).
2. Reverses a death sentence (John 8:3-6)
3. Produces miracles (Exodus 8:1,18-19).
4. And drives away demons (Luke 11:20).
Sometimes, you don't need God to move His whole hand, a single finger can cause supernatural happenings in your life.
I declare that you will see the power of the finger of God in your life. Men will look at your life and say "This is indeed the finger of God".
