THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE RIGHTEOUS (Cast away the old garment)

“And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.”
Mark 10:50 KJV
Bartimaeus had been selected by Jesus for a breakthrough. His sight was to be restored that very hour and Jesus had asked that Bartimaeus be brought to Him. Bartimaeus knew however that he could not receive from Jesus while keeping on his old garment. He had to cast it away, rise and go and receive from Jesus.
The garment represents our bad habits that prevents us from receiving from God. They may also represent some relationships and affiliations which do not glorify God. If you are in expectation to receive from God, be ready to depart from your old ways of sin and reproach which do not bring honour to God. Repentance draws you closer to God.
I petition heaven on your behalf that you may be divinely selected for a miracle in this season in Jesus’ name.
