STAND STILL AND SEE (Be calm in your heart)

#SamKorankyeAnkrah

“But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭16‬:‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul and Silas had been beaten and thrown into jail after they were accused of teaching customs that were unlawful to the Romans.  They had cast out a spirit of divination from a girl who was a fortune teller, and when her masters realized their source of income was gone, they took them to the authorities.
The authorities commanded them to be severely beaten, after which they were securely imprisoned.
At midnight, instead of wallowing in misery, cursing their fate, or denouncing God, Paul and Silas prayed and sang hymns to God.
The Bible says there was a great earthquake, and suddenly all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed!
Even in that trying time , Paul and Silas were calm in their hearts. They were not frantic; they knew the God they served and His power. I believe that like the three Hebrew boys, they were ready to die for His cause whenever necessary.
You may be in a prison of setbacks, financial difficulties or even illness but I encourage you to be reminded of the many times God has come to your rescue. Ask Him to fill your heart with His calmness and watch Him work. If He did it before He can do it again and again.

I pray for you today, that you will be kept in perfect peace in Jesus name, Amen!
Stay Blessed
