“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
Gal 2:20 KJV
In today’s passage, Paul teaches us that when we submit to God, though we are crucified, we live victorious lives. Your victory comes only when you surrender to God.
To surrender means to submit to a powerful influence, and this surrender to God brings success.
To succeed, you must:
1. Submit your will (the instinct that makes you choose something over another) to God.
2. Submit your desires (your instincts that make you chase after materialism) to Him.
3. Submit your pride ( that which makes you feel superior to everyone) to Him.
4. Submit your independence (that which makes you feel untouchable) to Him.
5. Submit your life for crucifixion - die to the flesh.
Until you learn to surrender totally, you will fight unnecessary battles in life. Surrender to God, and He will establish you. I pray that the Lord will grant you victory as you surrender to Him.
