GOD’S OCCUPATION ARMY (The Servants)

#SamKorankyeAnkrah

“He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This verse and the parable as a whole offer significant insight into the Christian life and serve as the blueprint for faithful stewardship.

Yesterday we identified the nobleman as Jesus Himself. The servants here represent believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and the gift of 10 pounds represents resources with which they were to successfully occupy. These resources are:

1. The name of Jesus

2. The blood of Jesus

3. The Word of God

4. The power of the Holy Spirit

5. The full armour of God.

Believers are to do business with the above resources until the return of our Lord.

Although the selected servants were just 10, they were more than able to occupy because of the power and authority imbued in them. When God is on your side you are always in the majority.

Believers must rise therefore and walk in the power and authority of the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and fully clothed at all times in the armour of God. Our victory is assured.

Prayer

Father, help me to occupy and do business with the resources you have given me. Help me to conquer unconquerable situations and to faithfully use my talents and resources in service to you in Jesus's name. #Amen
