DIVINE ENCOUNTER (What qualifies you for a divine shift?)

“Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place?”
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.”
Psalms 24:3-4NKJV
Throughout scripture we see that God mostly speaks His word to His chosen people on various mountain tops. We can call these mountains , places of divine encounter.
However, before anybody could have this divine encounter with God, they had to prove they were worthy of it. This includes cultivating certain qualities.
Our scripture today points out some of these qualities. One who has;
1. Clean hands
2. A Pure heart
3. Does not worship Idols
4. Has integrity
Sometimes in our quest for a divine encounter with God, we fail to realise that we need to work on ourselves and allow God's Spirit and His word to purge us. How can we hear from God when our hearts and minds are filled with bitterness, pain, hatred, jealousy and malice. How do we receive from God with unclean hands?
Today, I encourage you to come to God just us you are and allow Him to take away anything that burdens your heart and stops you from encountering Him.
May you encounter God in this season even as He makes you whole in Jesus name, Amen.
