"So the king took off his signet ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai; and Esther appointed Mordecai over the house of Haman."
Esther 8:2 NKJV
Mordecai told King Ahasuerus the treasonous intentions of two of the King's eunuchs.
An inquiry confirmed the matter and both were hanged on the gallows. These events were recorded in the book of the Chronicles and the matter was deemed closed.
Fast forward, Haman, a senior official, hated Mordecai and had a gallow prepared for him awaiting the approval of the king for his execution. The tables were turned, however, when King Ahasuerus, under a divinely inspired insomnia, had the book of Chronicles read to him.
Mordecai was remembered and rewarded. The tables were turned against Haman and he was hanged on the same gallows he had prepared for Mordecai.
The king then gave Mordecai the signet ring of Haman, a symbol of power and authority.
Get ready, anyone who has forgotten about you and the good you did for them is about to remember you in the name of Jesus.
Lord Jesus, let there be a transfer of every good thing due me, and may I be remembered like Mordecai in Jesus' name. Amen!
